I was worried about it being too bright at night however it has a dim function for the clock and the backlight can easily be turned off so it doesn't distract at all at night. The quality is great and it's durable. It has a long cord so you can plug it in practically anywhere. It comes with a remote to easily change the features without having to pull the clock down to adjust them.
